Alaükik incense: India's fruity range

Alaükik is the brand that breaks the idea that Indian incense always smells of resin and wood. Its catalogue is built almost entirely on fruity, indulgent notes — mango, coconut, lychee, melon, peach, red berries — and on aromas you recognise instantly, such as coffee or apple with cinnamon. It is the most direct range we stock: you do not need to train your nose to enjoy it.

At Nivara we carry the brand's full line, all in stick format and made in India with the same handmade method as the rest of our incense collections.

What makes an Alaükik incense

Three things separate Alaükik from the other brands we distribute:

  • Single-note aromas. Each reference works one fruit, or a very short combination. There are no complex blends: you know exactly what it will smell like before you light it.
  • High intensity. These are sticks with presence. One is enough for a medium-sized room, and the aroma stays well after it has burned down.
  • Sweetness without the cloy. The fruity profile sits on a light aromatic base, so the result is sweet but not heavy — closer to a natural room fragrance than to a ritual incense.

That is why they work well in kitchens, living rooms, teenagers' bedrooms, studies and workspaces, and also in holiday lets, where you want a pleasant scent with no strong cultural marker.

The aromas in the collection

The range falls into four easily recognised families:

If this aromatic register interests you beyond the brand, the fruity incense collection gathers every reference with this profile, and aromatic incense adds florals, citrus and woods for scenting the house.

How to choose your Alaükik

By the room. Citrus and tropical fruit clear the air and give a sense of cleanliness: kitchen, bathroom, hallway. Sweet and spiced ones make a room welcoming: living room, bedroom, reading corner.

By the season. Mango, coconut, melon and kiwi in the warm months; coffee, apple with cinnamon and red berries when the temperature drops.

By the time of day. Coffee and mandarin wake you up and suit working or studying hours. Peach, lychee and red rose work better at the end of the day.

If it is your first time. Start with coconut or mango: they are the two most universally liked scents in the range and the least likely to feel invasive.

How to use it

Light the tip of the stick, let it catch for a few seconds and blow the flame out gently until only the ember remains. Place it in a stable holder that catches all the ash, on a non-flammable surface and away from curtains or paper. Ventilate the room during and after burning, and never leave incense unattended.

Because these aromas are intense, in small rooms you can cut the stick in half: you get the same fragrance with less smoke.

Frequently asked questions about Alaükik incense

Is Alaükik incense natural?

It is made by hand in India, on a bamboo stick and with the usual aromatic base of Indian incense. Because these are fruit aromas, the fragrance is achieved by combining natural ingredients and aromatic oils — the only way to reproduce notes such as lychee or melon, which do not exist as a resin or a wood.

How long does a stick last?

Between 30 and 45 minutes of burn time depending on thickness. The aroma stays in the room well after that, particularly the sweet and spiced profiles such as coffee or apple with cinnamon.

Which Alaükik scent is the mildest?

Melon and peach are the two lightest in the range. If you want something even more discreet, cut the stick in half before lighting it, or use it in a well-ventilated room.

Are they any good for covering cooking smells?

Mandarin and kiwi are the best suited: a fresh citrus profile clears the air better than a sweet one. The most effective approach is to ventilate first and light the incense afterwards, not the other way round.

How long does delivery take?

Orders ship from Spain. Delivery times depend on the destination and are shown at checkout. The return window is 15 days.
